Since starting my new job, I haven't been playing ACNL at all. I've gotten a bit bored of the routine of the game for the moment. However, I just finished a game called Little Nightmares and it was phenomenal! I wish it were a longer game because it's just so unique and imaginative. It's very simple but really creepy and beautiful. It is actually really confusing and metaphorical though lol. There is no definitive explanation for anything that happens or what the game symbolises, but the creators wanted that to be up to interpretation. Have any of you played it? If so, what are your thoughts? :)

I thought it was amazing. The art style was incredible. It was both cute but distinctly terrifying all at the same time. It reminded me of Inside and Limbo, that both have that same style (just not in 3D). All the monsters were horrifying in their own right, including the feeling of being so tiny in a huge world, makes a great horror game.

After I finished Little Nightmares, I went and got both Limbo and Inside. I wish there were more games like these! They're so short and I'm always left wanting more. But they seem to be truly unique and rare since I can't find any other similar games. :(

Oenfree has a similar vibe. It's much more story-driven, with voiced characters and things like that. You might like it.

Just checked out the trailer! It looks interesting :) I'll give a try! Thanks for the recommendation!

I've only seen the trailers for it and it looks really really cool! I might have to give it a try whenever I get my computer hooked back up.

I loved this game!! The atmosphere throughout was just so morbidly creepy, and the twist at the end gave me chills.
Also, seconding the Oxenfree recommendation. That game was super good.

scared the beep out of me. i liked how metaphorical it was though, like the "eat or you will be eaten." i thought it was like the seven deadly sins or something, the one gluttony.
