I have actually never heard of it before. It seems to be a USA thing which is probably why. XD

Yep, especially with seafood! Whenever I make crab cakes or anything I reach for my trusty Old Bay Seasoning.

I use Old Bay on chicken a lot. However this past spring I was out in D.C. and had it on giant shrimp which I had never thought of myself. It was delicious!

From google : The seasoning mix includes mustard, paprika, celery salt, bay leaf, black pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, mace, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, cardamom, and ginger.

It has a very unique and what I could consider a smoky flavor which on sea food is a very tasteful combination.

Oh, that's what it's called! I always wondered about that stuff! Thanks!;)

Yes! Whenever I order steamed crab legs from my grocery store they always ask if I want Old Bay on it. Inside I'm thinking "I love you. Please drown it in spices."

i do and i dont. im from Maryland and Old Bay rules everything over here. i like it in some soups but i hate it on my crabs. im actually wearing my Old Bay shirt today :)
