Because, of course, we the people dont already talk about that enough.

In all seriousness I wanted to know what kind of political views you guys on this forum have. Are you a liberal? A conservative? Right or left?
Also, all comments on American politics are welcome, and so are comments about the current French election. I'm just curious what people here think.

I'm independent ^_^ though not in last year's election. Lol.

I'm a minority, so that should answer your question, lol.

Seconded. I don't wanna say too much or throw out politician names, cause I don't want fights to start lol

I would consider myself a center right libertarian and probably would have voted for Gary Johnsen in last years election (I'm not American).
About the French election I support Macron. (and in the quite recent dutch election I supported the VVD)

Is the VVD a liberal party?

I'm independant. I voted Trump. I've been pretty vocal about it around here so I'm not afraid to talk about it here.

I used to be a Democrat but this past election had pushed me to the middle. Honestly I got tired of rich people trying to tell me what I should be doing with my money. At the time it at least seemed like Trump stood for letting the American people make their own decisions. I might vote Democrat next time. We'll have to see what happens.

Wow, bravo :) I really respected your opinion, and the way you worded it. Most of the supporters are in my/ other groups'/forums' face about it. I kinda would like to know more of your thoughts.

I agree. This past election the democrat party seemed like garbage to me.. Which is unfortunate because I also don't really like Trump.

Yeah....I never really see "HILLARY" stickers on bumpers and whatnot, only trump....the problem with democratic party is that Hillary didn't make herself likable enough :/

note: and when I that she didn't make herself likable enough, i'm talking about the general democratic and/or independent public - and how they feel about her. Many people just voted for her just to keep Trump out.

Although I don't like any of out candidates last year, I'm actually a conservative, very conservative to be exact. And I was this way since 2010.

Nothing wrong with that :) My best friend is quite conservative, but he's a real sweet guy.

i don't support any specific party or politicians (both in the us and in sweden), that being said of course i still have opinions and parties i like/dislike and agree/disagree with more.

i consider myself a socialist. im left wing and i think that the government should be strong but not in an authoritarian way. the government exists to help the people and for it to be able to help everyone everyone needs to be in the system. i don't have a lot of economical opinions or opinions on how to change most specific things, tho i think that capitalism screws a lot of people over and that the difference between rich and poor shouldnt be as big as it is today in many countries (like the us.)

i dont rly think i am super politically interested but i have a lot of opinions on moral, human rights and equality and issues w that often have a lot to do w politics.
i believe that everyone should be treated equally, everyone should have access to free education and healthcare and that you shouldn't be able to buy better care or education if you're rich. (i think private schools and hospitals are fine but the quality of the education/care should not be different.)

my opinion on american politics is that Everything Sucks And I Don't Have The Energy To Care.
my opinion on swedish politics is that it's alright. i'm worried about conservatives, right extremists and racists being more popular the last elections and if the sweden democrats get a lot of votes in the next election 2018 i will be really Displeased.

the parties that are The Worst are SD and KD (both right wing, sd is the racist party filled w nazis and right wing extremists and kd is the "family friendly" aka conservative and homophobic party)
idc about M (kinda right leaning, liberal), Fi (feminist initiative, they are basically a more extreme version of the left party and they don't have any real opinions or plans about anything other than feminist issues), C (idk what theyre doing tbh theyre just kinda there. their leader has done a lot of weird stuff.), MP (theyre alright i guess, theyre the green party. i dont rly know what they are doing)
the parties i think are the most ok are S (the current government is led by them, they're kind of like M but a bit more socialist), V (the left party. it's a bit too communism focused but i agree w many of their ideas) and L (the liberal party.)

if the election was today i would not know what to vote for but i'd vote for something so that i could help make SD smaller.

I've never tried to label my views, but thinking about it now I'd place myself as an independent and/or centrist

tbh (at least in America) both major political parties are two sides of the same coin and I'm kinda over it

Lmao sweden really has a feminist party :') ?
I looked SD up and I think It's a bit like the PVV in the Netherlands. Only the PVV doesn't have any nazis in their party, but they're both right-wing populistic parties.
