Don't think I've ever heard anyone say "May-rio", I've always said "Mah-rio". "Wah-rio" or "Woh-rio" though, that's another question lol.

I say it the first way, Ma-ri-yo. I usually say people's names the way they do in real life (as much as possible with accents lol), I guess that carries over to video game characters!
