WiiU SD card compatibility to take screenshots in City Folk

I was at Wal-Mart the other day looking for the mythical dollar ACNL amiibo cards when I found a Nintendo branded 4GB SDHC card for 3 dollars.

I was so excited to take screenshots of my CF town!
but instead I keep getting errors that this SD card is not compatible.

Have you ever used an SD card in your WiiU?
If so what brand and memory?

Animal Crossing: City Folk will only accept SD Cards up to 2GB of data. Therefore, the game won't read your 4GB SDHC card, even though your Wii Menu can read it perfectly fine.
