what do you guys do when you're feeling down?? ive been crazy depressed today aha and im so bored and i feel like i just want to do something crazy and stupid just to feel something but its like nearly midnight so im in bed on my laptop haha so idk


is this okay for here is this too personal?? whatever yolo haha i want death


Thank you all for all your lovely comments and advice aaa <3 i've made a little list of things that i think i'm going to try and that will help, so hopefully some of you could use some things off of it too??

-change into comfortable pyjamas and jumper
-cuddle albie (hamster) or jasper (puppy) if i can get my hands on him
-play animal crossing
-play nintendogs
-go for a walk if i can (take jasper??)
-needle felt
-music - especially sparks by coldplay its my safe song
-bobbin and blanket (soft toy)
-read fluff - victuuri, bokuaka or daisuga usually works best
-alternatively, write fluff
-DRINK LOTS OF WATER (and not alcohol)
-tidy up your room! even if its just getting rid of all your rubbish and putting all of your clothes in the laundry or drawer
-play ukulele
-eat something nice like chocolate or cereal (or healthy maybe?? blueberries? pear?)
-online window shopping! make a basket or a watch list of things you cant afford
-look at pictures of cute dogs
-look at funny videos of cats
-have a nap
-have a bath/shower and wash your hair and face (++candles)
-look at starlity on tumblr her art makes me happy
-netflix - you know you have some catching up to do on a few shows
-pinterest
-plan some of your book
-or write some of your book

the things that make me better is going out (usually very late) and socialising with friends, though i find it hard to go out when i feel down. i also like to listen to music sometimes, it can make me feel a bit more alive

when i'm sad i usually talk to my boyfriend (or another close friend) and sorta tell them what's up, and i play animal crossing and talk to my villagers bc they're so cute lol
and when i'm depressed i tend to eat a bunch of junk food :| it's not really a healthy way of coping but it makes me feel better

i hope you feel better and you can always PM me or something if you need someone to talk to ! ^^

you should draw it out and play some of your favorite songs. also drinking water (like a water bottle an hour) really helps! especially while doing something you like. but yeah at least give it a try. draw stuff that comes to mind, like anything. even if its really ****ing weird or silly and comes from the dark depths of your imagination, put that **** to paper son! someone is bound to like it or just keep it to yourself!

spending time in nature can have a really mind blowing effect on your mind, especially at cool celestic times of the day like sunset or sunrise. play some of your favorite music and just walk around and pretend ur in like a pokemon game or something thats what i do LOL

CRYYY you should try crying and dont stop yourself if you do. put on some sad music and just think about sad stuff. this helps get bottled up stuff out of your system (it helps me at least ofc you dont have to if you dont wanna)

play some video games bro...like...bro video games cure all bro. but really! try playing acnl or something but like outside or something. this goes with doing mostly anything. try doing it outside!

of course you gotta plan the day too so just find some time and a day that you can have to yourself and schedule what you wannna do that day. even set little reminders on your phone or something. pack a lunch and get together with your friends and have some fun! nobody deserves to be sad all the time...

anyways yah this is just my guide that i use constantly :D
 
Not really advice, but I try to cope with it by getting snug under a bunch of blankets and listen to nice songs when I stop crying.
 
I garden, planting a seed and seeing it grow into a gorgeous plant, although it takes quite a while, makes me feel better about everything. Also i sometimes binge eat and i know its not healthy but it does help me a bit.

This is amazing advice :) and even if you don't have friends to go on a little picnic or something with you can always just take yourself <3 I think it's really important to try and spend time with yourself and be content with it, it's something I'm currently working on myself :)

As for my own advice, I personally keep a list of things that make me feel better when I'm down, so I can refer to it and figure out how to perk myself up. Most of the time my depressive episodes stem from me feeling like I'm worthless/a failure, so I try to do little accomplishment type things and things that make me feel better about myself physically. For example I usually clean my room and do some sit-ups or something and then take a shower. That way I can say that I got something done, I did a little exercise, and I feel all nice and clean :) it's obviously not a cure for my depression but it helps me get through the day!
 
I go on walks or do something physical if I'm feeling down. Nothing beats the blues for me like a swim, walk, or doing something active.
 
I tend to sit and stare into nothing. But when I have the energy, my fiance forces me off the chair and makes me play something or go lie down. Music helps a lot or cute floofs.
 
I look at dog pictures on the internet. Sounds stupid but it gives me something nice to think about and who doesn't love dogs?!
 
cry in my bed and then sleep.

after all , saying what you feel to someone seems its attention whoring so i rather keep it to myself

I do lotsa things..

❥ go on a walk / jog
❥ cuddle with my 2 kitties, 5mo old son, or boyfriend
❥ light candles and take a warm bath
❥ light candles and lay in bed and play video games
❥ listen to relaxing music
❥ paint my nails
❥ wash my face and use a face mask or something
❥ eat some bomb food
❥ call up a friend and vent
❥ go on tumblr and blog my fave pics
❥ watch netflix or hulu or whatever, usually find a new show and get hooked (try black mirror if you're into horror / scifi)
❥ sometimes I just cry it out while being held by my boyfriend and I'm better
❥ watch funny videos, specifically of cats bc they're cute n dumb
❥ I workout so I don't flip on someone if I'm angry
❥ if I have extra cash I'll buy a new game or shirt or something
❥ take a long nap curled up in some thick blankets
