What do you do to make a living? Is it full or part time? Is it your career of choice or just something to make money for the meantime?

----

For me, I'm in my last semester of college and I work two jobs. All my classes are online with the occasional meeting in real life at the school.

I work at a Graphic Design company during the days 9-5 and then I work weekends either 1-5 or 11-5:30 (depends on the shift) as a Brand Ambassador, which is just a fancy name for someone who hands out food samples at a grocery store.

I work for IBM Canada, but doing what I am not allowed to tell you.

I work as a server in a restaurant. I'm in college online so I have plenty of time to work full time. I also occasionally do art for people online to make some extra cash.

I work for a GIS company (that's geographic information system ^-^) as a data consultant/analyst. It's super boring and I got the job after I slept through university and didn't pass (i.e. I knew someone who got me the job). I love it some days and hate it on others, but it keeps the moneys flowing ^-^

Will probably leech off the company until I upskill and then find a more interesting job, or go actually finish something at University...

Yay for train tunnels duping my posts...

I work part-time as a Cap-Tel caption specialist while attending University. Painfully boring job, want to try to get an internship in the field of marketing this summer.

I work "part time" as outbound customer service. I think my name badge says "customer service adviser", but I never wear it so I've forgotten my 'official title' (it's not a customer facing role so I don't really need to wear it). I say "part time" because I'm contracted to do 20 hours but it's essentially full time with the amount of overtime I do. I've only ever done my basic hours twice (the week I started and a week after I took a holiday so wasn't around to ask for overtime).

It's incredibly repetitive and boring, but my hands are free 95% of the time so I can draw and overtime pays 1.5x the base wage, sooo...I only applied for the job because I heard moving up in the company is pretty easy, but I'm in no rush to change.

I always thought 'Brand Ambassador' was something really fancy until you mentioned what it actually is and destroyed my expectations.

If you left out the description, I would have been sat here thinking you sit in a 'special comfy boss person chair' at important meetings with spreadsheets.

Ahhhhhhhh that's hilarious! It does sound extremely fancy though and I feel silly putting that name on my resume. If only potential employers knew what that title meant!

i work at dunkin donuts and im going to the culinary institute of america in june to become a pastry chef

full time student, currently working at a library. my hours will up once summer begins, but i think i'm quitting once the fall semester begins. not too sure where i'm going after that, but it'll likely be retail.

I work in a pharmacy full time. It's okay, I really want to find a new job (or finally figure out what I want to do with my life which would be great) but there's currently a job shortage crisis so I'm stuck where I am for the foreseeable future

I work part-time (but full time hours) as a 3IC at a supermarket during the day, and as the 2IC during the nights when everyone else has gone home. Hopefully if things go well I should be moving up to 2IC permanently, and allowed to do CSM relief work, but that wont be for a few months at least.
A lot of people seem to look down on you for working at a grocery store, but I honestly love my job so much I wouldn't change it for anything.

I do other things on the side such as blogging and eBay, but my main income is working at the supermarket.

I work in retail. aka the place where the devil comes daily and asks to speak with the manager

Servers unite! my full role is a certified seafood expert though, I know about fish ;)
I work at red lobster, its ballin' because a lot of the entrees are very expensive!
this is part time while in grad school though for genetic counseling, so I will eventually be a genetic counselor and work in a hospital

Hopeful I can find a job, would LOVE to work in a Ice Cream shop in the Summer.

Or anything else would be pleasing. :)

Will have to do this in Summer of course. :p

I work in the produce department at a grocery store

mostly because I have no direction for my life, but I'm also kinda partial to it and my manager is one of my best friends

this speaks to me on a spiritual level

At least you're working, right? :) Better than having no job or money. So no worries! Not saying you are worrying though lol

I work for the US Forest Service doing stuff that wasn't in the job description. :p It's not my ideal long term career and I intend to quit this summer to make time for a 2 month bicycle tour of the UK & Ireland. That's just the sacrifice that needs to be made to make time for these sojourns.
