Last time I tried deleting VMs to clear up my messages, it showed a huge "THIS POST HAS BEEN DELETED BY FORESTYNE" that took up more space than the messages in question I tried to delete were.
They get deleted to everyone else, that message is only visible to you and staff members. Reason being so we can still see it have it come into play later for a future issue.
