Honestly, they might even start it tomorrow on actual easter
well last year they started the event around this time, usually updating the eggs every 4 hours or so

Yes. But, where's the egg currency on our sidebars? They have to appear.
Also, I hope we get eggs I actually like. I'm not crazy about eggs, but I like some of them. Like Yoshi and Togepi. And Waluigi. I hope we get something new
