How can I upload a GIF Signature?

When I try to upload my town signature, which is a GIF, it says I am not able to. However, I've seen other people with animated signatures.

Is there a certain setting I must turn off?
 
you have to link to the image offsite not upload it.

Just remove the spaces between the [s and ]s and add a url where it says to
 
I had this issue! Okay, you need an Imgur account. Upload the signature into there and copy the link, then paste it into the signature code. Be sure to add .jpg after it! Then put [IMG ] before it and [/IMG ] after it without the spaces. Hope I helped! ^_^
