soo me and boyfriend broke up and..things are quite bad for me. my emotional state is a mess now and i dont know what to do. things are just...pretty bad and heartbreaking. anyway, anyone knows any good breakup songs? just need them right now. i need songs that have strong/high vocals and a climax. something like demi lovato's stone cold. or if you cant think of one that i just described you can just suggest a break up song you think its good and ill listen to them.

shoutout to ex by those girls lol idk /:
or u can search for heartbreak on spotify there r like a bazillionbplaylists !! tho maybe u wanna b happy i dunno

dont listen to breakup songs and make yourself more depressed, listen to something upbeat and get over it

Yes hello this is my calling

A lot of these wont specifically be break up songs, but they are songs that I've listened to in the past that have helped.

You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette
It's Too Late - Carole King
Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O’Connor
Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
Broken Hearted Girl - Beyonce
Against All Odds - Phil Collins
Try - Nelly Furtado
Tightrope - Kelly Clarkson (tour version)
Everytime - Britney Spears
It Must Have Been Love - Roxette
Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye ft. Kimbra
Torn - Natalie Imbruglia
You're So Vain - Carly Simon
Don't Speak - No Doubt

Broken Strings - James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado
In Too Deep - Genesis
Wake Me Up - Avicci (acoustic version)
Every Rose Has It's Thorn - Poison
LITERALLY ANYTHING BY ADELE

Not sure if you want this but this is a good list of songs to listen to once the heart break is over, they're like empowerment songs in a way but also to urge you to move on;

Nostalgic - Kelly Clarkson
Can't Remember To Forget You - Sharkira ft. Rhianna
Blow Me (One Last Kiss) - Pink
Who Knew - Pink
Hate On Me - Jill Scott
That's The Way It Is - Celine Dion
Summer Rain - Sia
Confetti - Sia
Love Song - Sara Bareilles
You Learn - Alanis Morissette

Kelly Clarkson's Stronger album is also a really good album about break ups and empowerment. It has a good mix between the "sad I wanna cry" songs and the "**** you I'm moving on" songs

OMG JAKE, WOW OK, THAT IS LIKE ALOT OF SONGS.

I Hate You I Love You - Olivia OBrien/Gnash
I'll Be Fine - Stevie Hoang
Babysteps - Varsity
Walk Away - Jackie Boyz
Thank You For the Broken Heart - J Rice

How Do You Heal a Broken Heart - Chris Walker
Doin' Just Fine - Boyz II Men
Doors - Michael Johnson

Vulnicura is, in my opinion, the best breakup album of all-time. The whole thing is about Bj?rk's husband leaving her, the fear of her children being unprotected, and it doesn't seem self-observant at all (like most breakup songs/albums). The visuals are bloody stunning, it's a relatively short album, and it'll leave you begging for more.

Just listen to all of Adele's albums in a row. Apparently all that girl does is break up with people.

(plus her voice is lovely so it never gets old)

Hey kid! Keep your head up. Relationships are the best, and the worst, part of life. I, and I think anybody who has experienced love, have also experienced the trenches & depths of dark dreary heartbreak. And it's not fun... But, take it from me, it's surviving this cold lonely Hell that's created some of the strongest, best, most positive parts of me. I hope you can do the same. Just remember...it gets better!

Did you ever feel like you did everything right, but it still all went wrong...?

I'm so sorry! I hope it gets better as time passes.

Honestly, when I'm feeling down, I like listening to those "trashy" empowering songs. I'm a fun(ny) person, so I enjoy listening to those upbeat songs.

I would recommend:

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift, it's fun listening to it and dancing along with friends or by yourself.
"Single Ladies" by Beyonce, I memorized the entire dance just for that.
"Smile" by Lily Allen, if you're feeling extra spiteful and petty.
"Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye, I like singing it in the shower, even the backup music and singers.
"Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson, making a fake music video to this song is the bomb.
"Skyscraper" by Demi Lovato, another soul song, perfect for long showers.
"Someone Like You" by Adele, because who doesn't love Adele?

As you can tell, my break-up songs consist of many upbeat songs or things I do whilst listening to them. I like putting my mind off it and doing other activities. Of course, this doesn't work for everyone, but I like handling situations with comedic aspects to make the feeling lighter.

I'll Show You - Justin Bieber

I'd recommend the stuff I listen to but they are stereotyped as 'emo' and would probably make you feel worse.
