I got super busy with life before the update and went on hiatus from here and played my ACNL minimally. Everyone was expecting cycling to die but I went to the villager trading plaza and everything looks the same. I'd like to go back to cycling so how's it going? :D The cards didn't get rid of the need?
 
Things have definitely slowed down as far as villager trading goes, but a lot of people are using the cards to cycle. and plenty of people still do it the old fashioned way.
 
Cycling is still a thing in VTP...
Usually, it'd be great for people who aren't interested in cards. :)
Cards do contribute to this as well. :)
