I had lucky move on me randomly yesterday so I know the feeling. Plus you'd have to cycle through 16 people to get her back. :/
... but this is Wild World, there is no such thing as the 16 villager cycle.
Anyways, maybe you could get Peanut to move to a second town if you had a second copy since local wireless still works, then back to your first town. Other than that, I don't know.
