why would you upgrade firmware before knowing exactly what it could actually do in regards to any hacking/exploits?
that's like hacking 101 level common sense
also, google I guess? idk what sort of downgrade to you need exactly, but a quick search turned up a ton of results for me

What hacking do you use?
To install CFW (custom firmware), you will need to downgrade your 3DS, but Browserhax still works fine on the latest version, so if you can get into that you can install Menuhax and then ctr-httpwn so you can bypass future updates and still play online. Good luck!
