The other day I set up a second character for doing request locking, and it seemed like a villager was moving in when one wasn't previously, and I felt like I had checked earlier. Does anyone know if making a new character can speed up when your next villager moves in?

Speeding up villager move-ins with a new character?

I don't think new characters affect villagers moving in though I'm not completely sure. Remember that there is a cap of 8 villagers.
