10 is perfectly fine for me. But if the towns were a bit bigger, I think I'd like 15.

10 is not that bad, but I am hoping they bump the number to 15 (at most) if Animal Crossing U is a thing.

I would like 15 or 20 cuz i love lots of the animals in the game and i hope the bring back some of the old animals too like Meow the cat she is AWESOME

On the actual topic, however, I think 10 is fine.

In my opinion, ten is fine. Also, in New Leaf the towns are not as big as in City Folk, so of course there would be less people. You also have to think about space loss from projects. There is simply no room for more neighbours.
