Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know if you added me, I'm getting back to you. I work 3 12hr overnight shifts so I can't get to AC during that time...well I can at work but I have no access to wifi. On Thursday night I will definitely be around :)

I'm still amazed at the kindness this group of mature users have expressed. You've all made Animal Crossings New Leaf something fun and exciting!

I've been a PC gamer most my life, and never thought to consider the 3DS system that my son enjoyed from his beginnings (his first reading lessons were Paper Mario!).

As the DS matured... Bigger screens, etc... I finally got a "New 3DS XL". My son gave me Animal Crossings New Leaf out of his hugh collection of games (wasn't his cup of tea)... And I LOVED the game! It's constantly surprising me...

And you are all awesome!

I am 21 and in the UK. I play most days usually after 12PM. Always active during the holidays, not so much during term time :D

Hi everyone... only been playing NL for a few weeks but like I said on another thread played WW and CF since they came out ! .. would love to visit and get to know a few nice people .. I work all day but play a lot at night and Sundays. thanks peeps! :)

Hi folks!

I usually have my town gate open all day and night, but when I opened my 3DS this afternoon, there was some "error". I don't know how ago that error had occurred, but the gate was closed the entire time. Sorry. LuLuLand is OPEN right now.

Something strange occurred. Out and about, I obtained streetpass Mii characters. This is usually displayed under the NOTIFICATION app, which displays how many or 10 possible I had obtained. Something was there that I hadn't noticed before. Next to "Animal Crossings" within the Notification APP, there "2/20" was displayed. Out and about, I obtained 2 of 20 possible "somethings". I'm not sure what they were, but it was interesting to see that I had obtained 2 of them.

The only different thing I noticed when I went into the game (apart from seeing that the GATE was indeed closed), there was a "Katie" character that I interacted with. This Katie character said that she wasn't lost, but that she was traveling between towns. She said that she was at [forgot name] one of my friends towns prior to coming to mine. She then asked if I would escort her to another town with me. I took her to the train station, but (as I already knew) there were no "friends" available at the time for me to visit. So... I opened my gate to visitors, and left Katie there. If that's one of the two streetpass things that occurred, then I'll have to search harder for that second streetpass character.

I could, of course, be completely wrong, and Katie's presence is meer coincidence. But even away from any streetpass potential, my unit still showed the 2/20 for Animal Crossings (so it wasn't be hooking up via Streetpass rather than the Internet with another Animal Crossing Character.... or so I believe).

Anyone else see this? Anyone else see Katie in their town?
Was it ok to just leave her there? When someone's town does open up for me to visit (and they agree), will Katie have been waiting patiently there at the station for the opportunity for me to escort her to that town with me?

And if that wasn't enough questions....

Will that town I visit benefit from Katie's presence when I bring her along?

WHEW!!! All that was a mouthful!

Well, let's see if I can answer you on some of this!

First off, Kaite will appear in your town randomly when you walk pass someone or if someone brings her into the town from their own town. When you escort her to your station and into another town (wether she get's on the train or not in the video) she will then leave and, in a few days, send you a gift for having her over. She's from the pervious games where you found her form previous towns that had her mother in them. She would get lost and you had to go back to the exact town she came from to help her out, wherein she would send you a gift if you did. Now she's a bit older and more independent.

As to the odd counter, I've found that also and to me it indicates when people's homes have showed up from the Streetpass thingy. So in your HH area where you can look at people's houses, you should have one or two new ones possibly.

If you want, you can add me now and I'll take Kaite of your hands for you (or you can just add me XD). Otherwise, I hope that info helps! (says the guy who edits the AC wiki page for fun) lol
