Teal Splatoon Squid
You are one of three squids competing for complete coverage of the board of players. Every Day and Every Night, you must PM the host with the name of a player (dead or alive) you wish to ink. That player gets covered in your colored ink. You will forever stay your color ink even if inked by another player, but players that you ink can be changed into a different color by your opponents. Once you die, you can no longer ink players. In addition, you have one ink bomb that can be used once during the game. The ink bomb can only be used during Night and how it works is that the intended target gets inked along with anyone they interacted with and anyone who interacted with them.
In the event multiple Splatoon Squids target the same person, the player who sent in the action first covers that target in ink. It is to your advantage to send in your action early.
The winner of the Splatoon Ink War will be announced at the end of the game. The winner will be the one with the most players covered in their color ink.

Ostrich
You are the solo bird which has a grudge against everyone else. Nothing would please you more than to kill everyone else in the game and emerge victorious. You only have 1 KP and 1 Roleblock to use every Night, and you have no teammates so there is no QuickTopic for you this game. You win when it's the final two players and you're one of them. However, you can only die when all six Townie Birds have been killed. If you are ever supposed to die for any reason, a random Townie Bird gets killed in your place. At any time during the game you can suicide and a random Townie Bird will become the new Ostrich. However, when you suicide, your role PM becomes public. *NOTE* Townie Birds refer to basic Townies with no special abilities.
Flamingo in an Ostrich Suit (Miller)
Unfortunately, you thought all the birds were throwing a surprise costume party after seeing blood-covered birdies who you thought were also in costume, but they were really just dead. The zipper is now stuck and you can't get out of the Ostrich Suit. You return as a random Mafia Role to all investigative roles. You also return as a random Mafia Role upon your death along with a Role PM to accompany that role. Maybe next time, make sure you have clarification on when costume parties begin.

Dove (Unlimited Shot Vigilante)
You used to want to give your life to help benefit your birdie friends. Well you've had it with putting your own life on the line. You now want nothing more than to find that scummy Ostrich yourself and bring death upon him. Every Night, you may PM the host with the name of a player you wish to shoot. You can only shoot one player per night, but you can shoot every Night. Alternatively, if you still feel like your peaceful old self, you can choose not to shoot.
Raven Baxter (Psychic)
You accidentally got tangled up with a ton of birds because your name is that of a bird. Plus, your friend, Chelsea, left you out in the woods as a way to get you to experience nature. You decided to align yourself with the side with the numbers and use your Psychic abilities to help kill the Ostrich. Every night, automatically during the night, you will receive a report once the first action gets sent in. The report will reveal what the action is and which player is going to get affected by it.
Owl (Detective)
Being nocturnal and all, you pride yourself in being very aware of your night surroundings. Every Night you may PM the host with the name of a player you wish to find out the role of.
Unhatched Chickie (Veteran)
You are still in your shell, but you somehow have control over all parts of your body. You can speak, move, and everything else. Your egg gives you an advantage over the other birds as it protects you. You have two Night Lives. If you lose a life, you will be notified.
Stork (Reviver/Doctor Combo)
You represent new life and a sense of protection over the other birds. Once per Night, you may PM the host with the name of a player you wish to protect from Night Kills. Also, once per game, you may PM the host with the name of a player you wish to revive. The Reviving Period only goes from the time of death until five hours after. By reviving a player, they will stay in the game until they die again.
Penguin (Action Immune)
You still live far away from the center of bird activity that is going on, so you are once again completely safe from all actions that go on during the Night. No one wants to travel to Antarctica just to place an action on you. However, you are still completely vulnerable during the lynches.
Chicken (Townie)
Haha, why did the Chicken cross the road? The Ostrich doesn't care nor does he find the joke very funny. Since you are at the center of the annoying joke, he is putting the blame on you. Killing you will finally end all the lame chicken jokes. If the Ostrich is ever supposed to die, you have the random chance of dying in his place. Other than that, all you can do is vote and talk in the thread.
Ostrich's Ex-Wife (Townie)
You decided to divorce your Ostrich husband because he was being too clingy and started questioning you when he saw you with another Ostrich. Now he's out to get you. You really ruffled his feathers with that forced divorce. He didn't want you to leave him, but you did, now your life is in danger. If the Ostrich is ever supposed to die, you have the random chance of dying in his place. Other than that, all you can do is vote and talk in the thread.
Peacock (Townie)
The Ostrich is jealous of your gorgeous feather patterns. They attract all the birds and so the Ostrich figures that if he kills you and glues your feathers to his own, he?ll be just as beautiful. Then all the birds will be flocking to him instead of you. If the Ostrich is ever supposed to die, you have the random chance of dying in his place. Other than that, all you can do is vote and talk in the thread.

The Ostrich is annoyed that you keep poo'ing on his eggs and nest. You're messing up his house and he won't stand for it anymore. He wants you dead so you can poo no more. If the Ostrich is ever supposed to die, you have the random chance of dying in his place. Other than that, all you can do is vote and talk in the thread.
Parakeet (Townie)
You were the very first bird role to be in a mafia game. The Ostrich doesn?t want you to have the satisfaction of being the longest bird mafia role, so he wants to kill you. If the Ostrich is ever supposed to die, you have the random chance of dying in his place. Other than that, all you can do is vote and talk in the thread.
Duck (Townie)
Ugh, why do you get so much media representation? Ostriches don't nearly get as much representation in the media as you do. The Ostrich is growing jealous that he is being under represented while the likes of you is being overly represented. He wants to kill you even though that will probably result in another news story for Ducks. If the Ostrich is ever supposed to die, you have the random chance of dying in his place. Other than that, all you can do is vote and talk in the thread.
Bat (Serial Killer)
During the last bird attack, you were able to survive with your home intact. However, you didn't have any fun doing that. You want to see some death brought by your own might. Every Night, you must PM the host with the name of the player you wish to kill. Not sending in a name of a player you want to kill will result in modkill. You win by being in the final two players remaining with anyone but the Ostrich.
Toucan (Survivor)
You pulled a fake-out during the last bird attack when you were set to be supper for a happy hunter. You put up a decoy when the others weren't looking and now you are living as an outcast in the brush. Your only goal is to go unnoticed and you win if you are alive when the game ends.
Mafia is a game of the uninformed majority versus the informed minority. To elaborate, the game is divided into two teams: the Town and the Mafia. Mafia know who each other are, and can coordinate their actions privately. Town players on the other hand don't know anything other than their own role. To compensate, there are many more Town than Mafia. The objective of the game is for Town to eliminate by killing or lynching all the Mafia before it is too late. The game is divided into repeating phases of Day and Night. Day revolves around voting for a player to be lynched. Night is reserved for the Mafia to make their kills and certain players to use their special abilities.
Be warned - Mafia requires a time commitment. This generally depends on the player, but at minimum 30 minutes a day of solid effort is required. As part of the time commitment, Mafia requires a great deal of reading. Most people are actually quite poor at reading comprehension and playing Mafia is a great way to improve your reading ability, as well as your writing and ability to think and argue logically.

As the last tropical bird was executed thus sending every tropical specie of bird into extinction, the Territorial Birds cheered and celebrated. Their homes were no longer in danger of being taken over by invading birdies. Unfortunately, they are now facing a new threat: The Ostrich. The Ostrich has grown annoyed with the other birds' antics. All the chirping, singing, humming, etc. has finally got to him and he has now cracked. He is willing to kill all the Territorial Birds in order to get some peace and quiet.
This game will be using a closed set-up. All roles have a specific name. No two players will have the same role. Since this is a closed set-up, role PMs will be revealed at the time of the player's death. Private messaging is NOT allowed.
The biggest twist in this game is the addition of a separate game going on alongside the main game of Town v. Mafia. Several players will be participating in this separate game which be mentioned in their role PM. These players do not follow Town nor Mafia's win conditions, however, they do count as town in terms of calculating numbers.
Most players are already clear of these things. These are the rules regarding WoTC, Activity, Day/Night Cycles, etc. Please review them so you understand how this game will be run.
- Posting after death. You may have one polite goodbye post, but it may not contain any potentially game-changing information.
- Ruining the game by doing something like handing out your mafia's member list to the town.
- Logging on to someone else's account to get their role or looking over someone's shoulder to get their role.
- Posting screenshots of your inbox.
- Posting or sharing any PM you receive from a host.
- Getting yourself mod killed to help your team. Your non-majority-decided death may not be used as a bargaining chip.
- Signing up more than once using alternate accounts.
- Offering favors/items/bells outside of the game for a ingame information.
- Sharing accounts with other players.
- Posting a false role PM phrased/screenshotted as if you received it from the host. You can still fake roleclaim, but you cannot make it look like you are posting a PM you received from the host.
- Breadcrumbing your role PM - paraphrasing pieces of your role PM to get people to trust your alignment. You are only allowed to claim a role and abilities. Any storyline pieces of your role PM cannot be shared.
!!! ANYONE CAUGHT SHARING SCREENSHOTS FROM OBSERVER, PM, SCUM CHAT, ANYTHING WILL BE BANNED!!!
Cheating is not tolerated here as it ruins the game for everyone. I can and will take action.
Time Cycle and Phases:
The game will generally follow a 24 hour day and 24 hour night cycle. If I am not online and available to post when a phase is set to end, the game will be paused until I can post. No vote changes or actions will be accepted during this period. The game will start at night.
Activity:
You are expected to vote every Day and post every Cycle. Not doing so twice in a row will get you modkilled.
During Sign-Ups, known to be active players take priority. If the game hasn't started yet, but sign-ups are full and a more active player wants in, they will take a player's spot that's been shown to be repeatedly inactive.
Play to Win:
You should try your best to help your team win while you are alive and in the game. However, this does not mean that you should try to win by being a jerk to the other players so they all want to quit playing. There is a fine line. If I feel as if you are not acting responsibly, I will PM you and ask you to keep your behavior in line.
This also means that you cannot leave the game without a good reason. These situations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. PM me if you need to leave the game.
Editing:
Editing is not allowed for any reason. Editing will result in a warning. After that, you may be mod killed, depending on what the edit was. While I ask for everybody to post as concisely as possible, post again if you have to edit anything.
Inappropriate Posts:
Mafia games can get heated, emotional, and salty. Please keep it civil and remember that what happens in Mafia should stay in Mafia. Don't let things wash over to the rest of the forum, it's just a game.
Private Messaging:
Private Messaging and any Out of Thread Communication is forbidden. Communicating outside of the thread will result in modkill and a ban from my games.
Replacements:
This game uses replacements. Replacements will be made in the game until Day 3. If a player is mod killed during the designated time, then they will be replaced by a player on the replacement list.
Mod Font:
This is the mod color. It is reserved for the host. Please do not use it.
Question Font:
This is the question color. Use it to ask the host questions about the rules in public. You can also PM me.
- This game will use Majority Lynch. When a player attains over 50% of the vote, they will be immediately killed and Day will end.
- If the deadline is reached without a majority, nobody will be lynched. Voting is required on a regular basis or you may risk modkill. You may choose not to lynch, but you must make this clear (##VOTE: No Lynch).
- Voting is done in a separate thread, located here. You may announce and discuss your votes in this main thread, but only votes in the Voting thread will be counted. Do not PM me your vote.
- Please vote in the following format: ##VOTE: Username. Votes not done in the correct fashion may not be counted. I will update vote counts whenever I get the chance.
- If you want to change your vote, first type ##UNVOTE followed by your new vote ##VOTE: Username. You can change your vote at any time and as much as you like (within reason) up until a majority is reached.
- No conditional voting.
- You may vote for yourself. You may not vote for anyone dead or outside the game.
If you have not read all the rules, go back and do so. Mafia hosts cannot compensate for player ignorance!
