did you really go outside at 1-2am to bury a dead bee with a plastic spoon

your neighbors must think you're nuts

On the evening of July 18th, or the morning, depending on how you view three am, our friend, Justin attempted something noble. Nobility is defined by one who can face their fears, put them somewhere far away, and see past the darkness. That is exactly what Justin was able to do.

A lone bee, one of lesser fortitude and might, but one of heart flew into the space our friend occupied this morning, a single swat enough to take it out of the air, and into the light. It fought nobly, and our Justin attempted many ways to bring it back to former glory.

“It’s a cicada.” Claimed Curtis, an expert in the lore of bug kind.

And thus, Justin attempted helping the creature from its back, sending another picture to the medical magician working to save the creatures life with our hero.

“Nevermind, it’s a bee.”

Though in the face of an adversary, Justin did not falter, going as far as to attempt a mental connection with his new hive-mate, flapping his arms wildly to send it a message.

“C’mon, fly!” he called into the night, and thus the bee stirred.

Then, the bee was still, as it forever will be. A napkin, grape container, and bee shovel were hefted high as the bagpipes of glory began to play to the tune of memorials. The bee, would have a proper burial tonight, and will forever be remembered.

Then, as proceedings came to an end, a mourner came to Justin, another of the bees brethren as it were.

“Guys, there’s another bee out here.” Justin called, and we began to wonder if it mourner or foe?

The grape container was deftly placed over the bee before it could return to the family of bee people, trapping it in a plastic case to save its life, and our heroes.

After much deliberation, and with desperate need of sleep, the trio began to say their goodbyes, and the grape container was removed from the final prisoner of war bee.

Now anything may happen.

Proud of you Justin for finally making your peace with Bee kind. Forgive and forget, may your ear remain unstung from now until the end of time.
