I haven't gotten burned out and I've played every day since launch and not reset, did same with New Leaf, only difference being, I'd finished my New Leaf town by now wheras I'm still decorating/trying to finish my New Horizons island.
Why is switching to terraform mode even a thing, its so annoying and then you are restricted from doing stuff like using the airport until you switch back.

The only thing I'd reccommend is getting yourself a good distraction, island hopping gets extremely boring very fast. It's so repetative, usually I do it in the background while listening to music and web browsing. Just don't do what I did and forget to look for the villager before leaving the...

Another thing relating to her is that she can make it so your tools wont break that day. I was hitting trees over and over again with a flimsy axe and it just would not break.
Well, I noticed a while back a certain area of my island lagged, then it seemed to just fix itself for a few months, possibly due to an update, but today I noticed the lag is back in that same area, after updating to 2.0.
You could time travel and only concerntrate on the x2 and x5 bonus ones plus collect the 300 per day from resident services machine then skip to the next day.
