I just wanted to say I hope you don't stay afraid for long. If you look at the history of the US this happens a lot and we always end up going more forward than we do back. It seems like forever that the US has switched between Republican/taking a step back and Democrat/taking a step forward. I'm thinking next big election will go to the Democrats and another big step forward.

But I also usually keep a positive outlook because I think most people are good and want to do good by others but sometimes think "this is going a little too fast for me, I need to take a step back to breathe before I can make too many more big progressive changes". At least that's how I look at it.
