Happy holidays everyone! Just a few pictures of some wintry scenes in Tinytree so far. Winter is not my favourite season in ACNL... I don't like the look of snow in my town and the snowfall ruined months of hard work creating my dirt paths... but I guess it does have its moments! Here's one from the aurora borealis.
I booted up my game on Toy Day only to realise
So anyone who has the map with the thin strip of land near the train station and the river will understand how frustrating landscaping it can be. I built an apple orchard there, right next to Hazel's house, but it still wasn't a good enough reason to venture out to it every day. I mainly felt lonely for Hazel, who never has any animal visitors and is so disconnected from the rest of the village.
After a few days of stalking the Re-Tail board for certain items, I'm finally able to say that all my residents homes in Tinytree are complete! It wasn't hard to do since I haven't expanded them to the fullest. But I really like the way smaller rooms look anyways. Here are a few updates to my mayor's house. I've added a study/office and changed the interior of her bathroom.
In all my previous games I only used beaches for the purpose of breeding hybrids, since I felt dream visitors rarely went to the beach unless there was something special there (like buried treasure, hacked pwps, etc.) However, I wanted to make this town as “complete” as I can get it, so I decided to try landscaping it!
Since a lot of my villager’s houses overlook
Interior design in ACNL has never been my strong suit, but I'm happy with how my home is looking so far! I have no idea how well it sits on the HHA scale but I'm not too concerned with their point system anyways. I'm kind of tempted to pick up Happy Home Designer now though. Big pic post ahead:
