Hiya! My data corruption was a result of my own stupidity really. I decided it'd be a good idea to save the game with a flashing red DS and it turned off half way through the save. It was my own stupid fault and nothing I can do about it. Mine was a physical copy of the game. More often than not, if you're sensible and careful about saving etc then you won't experience any data corruption whatsoever
