I used amiibo cards for all 10 of my villagers and no glitch! from what i've heard it only glitches the other person's town their moving into.

Some people were saying they were experiencing the glitch with their amiibo villagers as well. I'm not sure how true it is, but we should still keep that in mind just to be safe.
I haven't had any issues with my amiibo villagers so far either, though.

Yes, in most of the cases reported; however, I did read about one instance on here where the person's island also glitched after moving in their own amiibo so this scared me a bit.
The good news is that there are many articles circulating around about the glitches people have been experiencing so, hopefully, Nintendo will act quickly.
I also figured that I have my amiibo cards and they're not going anywhere so I'm using this time to go Island hopping and experience some villagers I haven't yet had in my previous games.
