Oh gosh, I didn't realize how small NL screen is..compared to NH

but the items seems to look bigger in NL than NH

i think the main difference for me is the quality - i really thought new leaf’s quality was god tier when it came out but new horizons has completely blown me away ;u;

New Leaf is still my favorite Animal Crossing, I haven't been playing it as much because of NH being new but I still love it so much and all the amazing things it introduced! I don't mind the small screen, that's an inherent limitation of being on the 3DS and I have an XL to play it on.

I enjoyed NL during its time but I’m enjoying NH more now. It’s more suited to my play style. In NL, I just log in the game and do my routine then get off until tomorrow. In NH, I couldn’t stop playing. I can’t put the thing town. I like doing the miles plus tasks, earning miles, doing mystery tours, and my villagers keep on running after me giving me gifts and talking to me. They sing and exercise and eat and do silly funny stuff that I want to be there for. And the game doesn’t punish me for always playing because there’s no more grass deterioration. So NH is miles and miles away from NL to me in terms of experience.

i'll wait for a few months to decide if nh is better than nl (when new updates arrive) NL just seems like a complete package.
maybe nh having gradual updates could be great tho, so people won't be spoiling everything. it was fun trying to figure out the new rules & stuff because some tricks retained & most didn't.

I prefer New Horizons. Nook Miles+ alone has kept me hooked for much longer periods of time than New Leaf ever did. I will say, I think New Leaf had a much more exciting early game, but now that New Horizons has opened up, this is the best AC game yet without a doubt. It balances the classic Animal Crossing feel with the customization introduced in New Leaf and expands on it.
