1) how long til villager inflation goes down lol . I just want my dumb cats but apparently people wans copious amounts of stuff for one of em.
2) how do yall already got so much bs its stupid

Im frustrated and upset bc rng hates me and so

3) how do yall keep hope in obtaining villagers you want

Probably not for the first 6 months-first year. Hard to say. New Leaf villager inflation didn't really die till amiibo cards pretty much changed the market for them. Not to mention having multiple towns to run cycling was easier in New Leaf than it is with this console (people will actually have to own multiple console to run multiple towns which hinders towns that were for giveaway/villager free cycling purposes).
Audie/Raymond are probably going to be scaled for a long while considering they have no amiibo card so obtaining them is harder.

1. gonna be awhile. duplication messed up the economy. rip
2. depends on what you mean by bs but good to decent rng helps, though people have better rng than me (beardo is in my island send help).
3. hazel (and most of my other fav villagers) isn't popular so getting them is kinda easy. good luck getting a new character or a popular one without spending 100tbt or 1mill igb lmao.

I honestly hope they release an amiibo soon. Its beyond rediculous to see an auction where the starting bid is 9mil.

I was waiting for someone to make this thread LOOL--

I'll answer these to the best of my abilities ;m;

1. Probably when their amiibos come out, people will begin to have cycling towns and such and buyers will begin to pay a flat rate for villagers. (Correct me if i'm wrong about this one)
2. People are buying them off of e-bay if i heard correctly? .0. tbh it's pretty smart & a quick buck loooool
3. I love the rush i get from gacha i'm obsessed

1) it will likely be until nintendo releases amiibo cards of the new villagers. fixing the amiibo kicking glitch will help deflate normal villager costs, but the new villagers are far less accessible. the villager market was like this before amiibo cards were introduced.
2) idk what in particular youre referring to here, but a lot of people TT (as do i) to access things faster.
3) all of my villagers except one were accessible by amiibo, so i just bought NFC stickers and im making my own amiibo dreamies and slowly moving them in (totally worth the 12 dollars lol). as for the one that wasnt (judy) i was a bit out of hope for her for a while, so i get its frustrating when you arent loaded with things to offer. i suppose just trust they will come home some day

Eh, doesn't really phase me. Marshal had starting bids of 20mil in New Leaf and went upwards of 100mil often.
Ridiculous for sure but not surprising.

I hope to whatever godly being is out there we get those soon. The inflation is stupid.

Ah, good ol rmt. As if I haven't see enough of that in ff14. Hate it its cheap.

I cant agree on that i hate gacha gambling makes me so upsetttt ahhhh its valid to like it though, rng is just bs

Hi! I hope it does soon but unfortunately that is how it is for newly added villagers. Prices may go down but it may also take months/year before it does so and when it does, it would probably still be considered expensive for some of us. Not having amiibos of them adds to it. Fortunately for me, I have amiibos of my favs and the new villagers is not really priority for me. I'm still interested in getting to know them though xD

Haha, yea.

I definitely feel restricted in the amount I can do for the community with one copy. It was really nice being able to have a spare copy to use for free reign TT, storage of items to give away, and villagers to endlessly move in/out for others. I had separate 3DS's anyways but separate Switch's is just not something I think most want to get into at least not right away. I would need to see an improved switch release to warrant buying one and it'd still need to be some time later (like 3ds went to 3ds xl etc).

I had a cycling town for villagers. I remember even stitches, marina, merengue and a few others being top tier with marshal.

Hopefully it will get a little better ;o; Wishing you the best of luck on finding your dreamies as well! <3

I time travel yes yes. I mean the people who somehow can offer hundred of tickets! Its a bit asinine in my humble onion, but i wouldnt be too surprised of folks using rmt to grt those things and use them here after. Im far to used to people using rmt . (Cries in ff14 market board prices)

1) it’ll probably be a while but i hope it goes down soon because prices are bonkers

2) i’m assuming because of time travel and the dupe glitch

3) i’m trying to obtain my villagers myself especially with how crazy the prices are

Yep, those were all very expensive ones including Ankha/Lucky/Zucker and many more.

I did free cycling a lot early on. It was nice and still nice when amiibos came having another copy to use for it.

1) Probably about 6 months for the economy to stabilise. Lots of things, including villagers, are in extremely high demand with seemingly low supply, hence why the prices are so high.

2) Dupping could be the cause of some people's supplies of things. If you're talking about IGB's, then most people time travel and earn their bells using turnips. Turnips have always been one of the easiest and most successful way of earning bells, so a lot of people will always have high amount of bells.

3) For me personally, I'm just waiting for Nintendo to fix the amiibo glitches. I am also just being patient and waiting for the TBT economy to settle down a bit so I can purchase other villagers who I don't have amiibo cards for. Or just building up my own stash of goods to trade.

I think the thing about this that's really upsetting me is that I have a consistent string of bad luck when it comes to rng. Very rarely will I actually get villagers I want, and usually they're villagers completely inaccessible to me. The last time I got good rng was my first town in New Leaf where Fang and Marshal were in my first 5.

by those standards id say i have bad luck with RNG for villagers too. theres 383, so the chances of getting one of few that you want is always slim. i havent had villagers i genuinely wanted until i started trading with people fot them. amiibo cards have been a godsend for me now, but it used to take me forever, too! it isnt just you struggling i promise
