Don't get me wrong, I loved coming on here and buying and selling villagers for relatively fair prices. But due to this whole duplication thing, all the prices are way too inflated!

I understand that getting Nook Miles Tickets require hard work, but really? over 1.5 million for *5* ? Selling a tier one villager for 600 tickets? I saw a thread with hybrids for 350k! Each! Meanwhile a hybrid in new leaf goes for one tenth of that. I just feel it makes it all really unfair for players who got the game too late to do the cloning glitch, or wanted to play fairly and not clone items.

Post your opinions below!

I felt this on a whole different level. It's so frustrating honestly...it was okay at first but when the duplication glitch came out all the prices skyrocketed.

Don't lose hope! there are still lots of players here who don't time travel, didn't take advantage of the item dupe, and don't pay real life money for tickets, etc. We're out there! (Hi, I'm one of them >.<). For now, I think the community is divided in regards to that. There's really no way to really change this. Time travel is legitimate, but otherwise there's really no way of proving if someone cheated or not. Us natural players just gotta tough it out and support each other in the markets in our own way. If you need help getting anything I can see what I can do for you!

yup, prices are very inflated right now but they will go down over time. give it a couple weeks and it will probably be much more manageable!

Yeah I understand but it's the same with new leaf, no? It was hard for me in the beginning since I got the game a year late. hybrids sold for 50k I was like wow that's pretty pricey but I understand. Eventually it didn't matter when I manage to get free bells from giveaways or snagging them from shared towns.

I used to buy nook tickets for 500k. Eventually I started looking for 200K and less. At this point I don't buy them anymore since I won't need to use my nook miles for items so I have plentiful to get tickets for later.

It is how it is and we learn how things run. If its a popular villager that thing is going to sell $$$$$$$

I mean, I time travel to cycle villagers but I sell them for affordable prices (1-2m max or like 25 tickets Max, or TBT). I don't want an influx of bells in my game, just stinks that it's that expensive for villagers. It might calm down in the future though.

It is super crazy right now because of inflated prices, it's all out of balance! I think that it will start going back to normal though, since the duping glitch was patched. c:

This is probably gonna pi$$ people off but this is just extremely extra just for a pixelated character to move in on a virtual island lmAO

Yeah these villager prices are really through the roof.... I just joined TBT again after being on it a ton when I played New Leaf everyday, and back then it felt like the prices were steep but doable, especially for really popular villagers but none of the villagers in tear one are my dreamies anyways.

So now I'm just crossing my fingers I'll get lucky with finding a couple dreamies on mystery tours or here in the forums that won't break the bank!!

New Leaf was on a huge level as well at the start. Villagers would go for 100 million like Marshal and Merengue.

Everything always ends up hugely inflated until the game is out for awhile and then it drops. TBT will go down in value as bell goes up (meaning the coversion of igb will be more for your tbt eventually). Ticket demand will fizzle out as well as people get their preferred characters.

i dont think 1.5 million for 5 tickets is *absurdly* high.... it seems like one ticket is worth 250k-300k which i thought was standard

Yep. You can make 300k with tickets for tarantula farming. So, there's really no point selling for less than 300k imo. You're paying for the ticket to use it to search for villagers whereas I'm giving it up for the bell value I would have had if I used it for tarantula hunting.
