Did you reset your village until you got starting villagers you wanted?

As the title says -- did any of you reset your village until you found starting villagers you liked?

I didn't but I am regretting it, as it seems getting villagers to leave is difficult. (I started with Tammy and Antonio, the only good villager I found was Audie, but....)
Now, I am thinking about restarting my game until I find two I like -- unless kicking villagers out gets easier.

i didn’t - the only thing i reset for was my native fruit and once i got the one i wanted, i stopped resetting lol

Nope! I got Bill and Cherry, neither of whom I hate, so I was alright not resetting.

I didn’t - only resettled the maps. I got Teddy and Mira, and I was in shock because I have those two in my ACNL game right now!

Hmmm, okay.

Does kicking villagers out become easier once your roster fills up? I heard it is basically impossible to have a villager leave if you have less than 7?

I wish I could have, but it was more important to me to get a specific fruit, airport color, and map.

nawh, as i knew i could change villagers eventually. things like map, fruit, and airport though - i knew i'd have to keep those potentially forever.

Nope! I have amiibo cards for my dreamies so I knew they were gonna join me in the island eventually. However, I was clueless on how villagers move in or move out so it took a while (like 6 random move ins lol) for me to even have one dreamie move in xD

I considered doing it as I had Flo and Biff and wanted cheries as my town fruit. I ended up getting frustrated and just went ahead with a decent map with a blue airport and apples. I was resetting for Reneigh or Dom.

i'm not that far yet, i'm at around 7 villagers right now. i can't imagine them staying around forever once you have more villagers, but you can also get some amiibos to kick them out when you get desperate. i heard campsite villagers will also move villagers out which is cool!

Honestly I wasn't even thinking about who you could get. I didn't really look at TBT before starting so I wasn't aware you always get a jock and an uchi. I may have tried to reset for Hazel or Deirdre/Fuschia but I got Kid Cat as my jock so that was more than enough for me! He's one of my faves.

You actually can! I found Reneigh on some maps but she always appeared in one with a different fruit and airport color combination I would want. Dom also appeared too.

Oh, I wasnt aware of the jock and uchi thing either.

& I didn't know you can get campsite villagers to kick other ones out, if thats the case I definitely wont start from scratch; I also just got Ankha on one of the RNG island so that is super exciting

Nah, I actually like my starting villagers despite not being my dreamies. They're both decent (Katt & Poncho).

I didn't because I HAD to have pears and it took me an entire hours to get pears once for the very first time. I didn't even look at villagers throughout the entire reset process bc i'd reset right as the plane flew over the island lmao
but i was fine w my starters
I got plucky who's a decent uchi and i hate all the jocks and got sparro who's ok. luckily i've been expanding my amiibo card collection so im not too concerned about getting them out

Nah, I told myself I wasn't gonna do any resetting for my first time playing. I knew that if I started I wouldn't be able to stop because I'm so indecisive.
