[Possible Spoiler] This event never triggered! Am I glitched?

Hi guys! I TTed a bit in the beginning of my game to get through the tutorial process, so I have 9 villagers and all the shops, campsite, residence services, etc. No terraforming yet.
Read on at your own risk, as I'll be going in an event that happens after you get the campsite and a 3 star town rating...


Okay, spoiler warning over!
Anyways- I got my 3 star rating yesterday and triggered the cutscene between Isabelle and Tom Nook where KK Slider leaves feedback and Nooky invites him to the island. He mentions he could come as soon as tomorrow. Sweet.
Cut to today, and I've been playing on and off throughout the day as normal- grinding for Nook miles and doing chores. Then I remember I haven't heard anything about the concert!

My morning announcements just mentioned that I have a villager (Walker) moving out.
I went in to talk to Tom Nook and he says the old "I got nothing for you, go live your life" spiel. Nothing about KK Slider or the town improvement plotline.

Has anyone successfully triggered this? Did I glitch out somehow and miss it? Has it ever been delayed for anyone else? I'm kind of bummed actually- any insight would be appreciated!

Edit: Oh also! I wanted to mention that I googled it, and a website mentions the concert is supposed to trigger upon loading the game the next day. This could be incorrect, of course, since the game is so new and there's a lot we don't know. But that's what made me worry!

hmm i tt'd all the way thru day by day and the event was triggered, but i went so fast that i didn't even fully take in what i was doing so i can't say for sure

HOWEVER he does only appear on saturdays after unlocking him. try tting to saturday?

It took two days for me to happen after the cutscene.

sometimes if you already having something planned for that day like a special visitor, he won't arrive until the day after. have you tried tting to the next day?

Ooh I didn't know he still shows up after being unlocked! That's great to know!

I don't have any visitors that I can see except Gulliver washed himself up on my shore haha. I haven't TTed to tomorrow yet because Walker is in boxes and my friend was thinking about coming to get him. That's super good to know though! Thank you!
