Are Peppy Villagers SUPPOSED to be Brats?

I just remembered something I wanted to post about yesterday. Well, Peanut and Cherry got to talking and Peanut was being all "Oh, I don't want to apologize to my friend! It's hip to be stubborn!" and Cherry was calling her out on her BS, and Peanut was all "I don't wanna! My friend will understand I want to be cool and on trends!"

Seriously, why are peppy villagers this awful. I remember seeing another negative conversation between them, later in the day, but can't remember what it was. I do remember it was Peanut being kind of a brat again though. Cherry, again being the one who was making sense, but Peanut being kind of a brat and not wanting to listen to her. this is WHY Uchi's are my favorite personality. They are the street smart tomboys. They know just what a good and bad trend is. It's also why Peppy is my least favorite. Though I heard they like anime in this game, which might improve my thoughts on them if I ever get that conversation..

peppy's are typically my least favorite personality type, but i actually really like my peppy. i have audie, and she seems like a social butterfly since she's always having conversations with other villagers. i haven't seen the same conversations as you, but in audie's conversations with others, she's either complimenting them or making plans with them. like today, she and rolf were talking about how he should watch a certain tv show that's based on a novel, and if he reads the novels then they can binge the show together. it was really, really cute! i hope you get more positive conversations with your peppy though!

I also usually dislike the Peppy villagers but I LOVE Bangle on my island! She's funny, loves horror movies, and encourages me a lot.

I have a peppy named Apple on my island and she hasn't been acting bratty in my experiences? She wants to be a big huge star but she's also very encouraging! She also loves to sing and make jokes too

I agree with the others - I think they're actually less bratty than they were in New Leaf.

Oh boy, you think that's bad, that's tame compared to older games (pre New Leaf), lol.

I feel the opposite. In New Leaf peppy villagers were my least favorite and loved uchis, but in this game Cherry just passive-aggressively tells me to leave her alone if I try to talk to her more than once, and Bubbles is always giving me free stuff and complimenting my outfit.

I haven't experienced any kind of dialogue like this for peppy villagers since gamecube days. After that, they've always been incredibly sweet, upbeat, hyper, and they make me laugh. I love them.

Are you sure? In WW, I remember peppy villagers would often talk down about other villagers, and made most cranky villagers seem nice (bar Octavian, and his looks didn't help).
