Will turnips spoil if I time travel backwards in terms of time and not actual date was? So the date would be the same, but its just a different time.

For example I would stay on the same date *March 30* but instead of it being 2:26PM, I TT backwards to lets say 11AM NOT changing the day. Would my turnips spoil? Thanks!

I've never time traveled with turnips before, forward or backwards. However, I've been told by some friends that if you move backwards at all, they will spoil.

I believe the game spoils your turnips for any type of time travelling when going backwards, whether it be the time or date.

Thank you for your answer!

I know if I time travel backwards day it will spoil but I've never tried time, so I didn't know. Thank you for letting me know!

The game can detect if your save is older than the last save, so likely yes.

You may only TT forward and not have them spoil.

The game cannot detect forward time travel because it relies on the System clock whether in game, out, or even if you pull the battery from the Switch entirely.

This. So you can actually go backwards from real world time, but not backwards from when you last played.

Let's say for example that you didn't play Monday March 30th at all. The last time the game sees that you saved was on Sunday March 29th. On Tuesday March 31st, you could actually change your time back from real time to play on Monday March 30th. Then you can change it back forward to Tuesday March 31st, real time. Your turnips would not spoil because you didn't go back to before your last save.

I hope this makes sense. This is how I've used TT in the past to play days that I missed because of being busy. My turnips would never spoil.

Yes this does! Thank you for the in-depth answer. Totally makes sense!
