I put all mine in one area for now, but I will eventually move all of them. I can't decide if I want to keep them all together, or split them up into a few smaller "neighborhoods" (like 2 groups of 3 houses and 1 group of 4)

What are you doing with all of yours?

i’m putting them pretty sporadically as i try to plan out my paths but once i have the path-making tool and can lay down actual paths, i plan on not having them so close together as they’re pretty cramped rn lol

They’re scattered all around the island. I used to make a neighborhood in one of my NL towns but it made some PWPs empty and not get a lot of interactions. Since then I tend to scatter villagers all over town so PWPs will be used more. However, I noticed in NH that they wander everywhere so I guess it really doesn’t matter now where you place them.

i have them placed around the island in a few clumps of 2-3 based on who i think would get along!

at the moment mine are grouped together on the lower side of the map near the airport with all the other facilities for better access while waiting for the proper location once terraform is unlocked

I plan to do 5 groups of 2. Some groups will have the houses right next to each other, while others will have them more spread out, but still in the same geographical area.

Eh, going more organic with it. I just wander around and see places that could be worked into a nice home spot so use those. We can always move houses later if something doesn't work.

I'm still undecided if I want to move them into little neighborhoods or have them scattered throughout the island! :( Its a hard choice.

Right now I’m just putting them wherever there is space currently and won’t really get in the way. Later on once terraforming is unlocked I plan on having 2 - 3 villagers lined up in different parts of my island.

I don't have a cast-iron plan for my island yet and pretty much everyone is up to be moved, but I'd like all their houses to be somewhat close together.

I just unlocked terraforming and I’m building them a small neighborhood. I had them all cramped on the left side of my map at the bottom, but now I’m building the small area on both the bottom right and left. It’s super difficult though. I’m spending a bunch of bells just trying to move all my villagers around.

All of my villagers are in the area we originally started in on the map. I’m planning on changing a few things when I start terraforming and it just made more sense to worry about their house placement later when everything was going to have to be moved anyway.

I have a neighborhood area that's starting to form. The only villagers not part of it are my starting two, because the neighborhood is north of my river. I think I'll long term end up making a residential area that all of the animal villagers will be put together in. That won't happen until I get access to terraforming though.

at first I wanted to have a "neighborhood" / houses neatly organized like I always wanted to in new leaf (but never did bc I didn't have the patience to reset and I didn't hack my town), and tried that for my first 5 villagers in NH and totally regretted it! having them all lined up didn't end up as amazing as I thought it would, and I ended up moving 3/5 of them :p

so basically, I do kind of have a "island center of town" kind of thing going on, but overall most are scattered around my island.

My residential district is going to be set up like this . The X’s are houses and the lines are different layers of my town. It’s going to be super cute when it’s done.

Then I have one house on the beach.

I plan on laying out my houses into three different neighborhoods: a seaside-themed neighborhood (3 houses), a traditional Japanese-themed neighborhood (4 houses) , and a mountain/rustic-themed neighborhood (2 houses). There's one house that I left out and it's because I liked where it was located so I decided not to move it to any neighborhood.

I’m currently planning on having four neighborhoods (two sets of three and two sets of two). I have a rough idea of where they will be, but I’ve only placed four houses so far.

Mine are all together at the moment, but as I develop the town more I want to move them to fill in spaces or to create little neighbourhoods and yards.

I've got, or at least planning to have them in two sets of 5 with one on either side of my river. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it this way though, I may end up putting all 10 together if I terraform sufficient land for them all.
