PSA No Mystery Island is Truly Generic!

I had an island with my native fruit, plain layout, and native flower
complete meh
but then I suspended doubt and proceeded to fish in the pond, here's what I discovered:
Every big fish was either a carp, tire, or koi
Every little fish was either a tadpole, can, or goldfish
And that was that
I stocked up on koi fish and now a wall of my house is a beautiful wall of kois!

On the surface (pun not intended) the island wasn't worth visiting save for resources
but really
it had a unique and pretty nice spawn pool! (pun not intended again)

I had this exact island last night too! Koi everywhere! The amount of fish in the water, they'd get jailed for social gathering under a lockdown lmao

Yeah, I ended up on what I "lovingly" refer to as "Bass Dirt Island" For laughs, say it really fast...(really, the name was the only good thing to come out of it) .
Everything I fished up... was a bass. Every. Last. One. (Well, save a boot or two. ) Here I was, thinking I could find some new entries for Blathers and rake in some dough, but nooooo. It was nothing but bass. I felt like I wasted a ticket...

My next trip had Snappers and Knifejaws aplenty, though, so I guess I can't complain too much. XD
