You shouldn’t :) This game isn’t a competition and you are likely to spoil it for yourself by rushing. Crazy to do so in Animal Crossing of all games. Ultimately play it as you like but I don’t think anyone should be rushing to get to content. That’s like rushing to best a game.

Not saying it's good practice but I don't know why people are surprised...it's Nintendo. They will always cater to their Japanese audience and focus on them and Japan just happens to be in the Northern Hemisphere...I was honestly surprised they even gave the option for the Southern Hemisphere.
